Agoda’s data, based on accommodation searches for check-ins in June and July, shows Nha Trang leading the list. In addition, the top five international destinations sought by Koreans this year include Nha Trang, Tokyo, Fukuoka, Osaka (Japan), and Da Nang.

According to Agoda, a notable trend this year is that Korean travelers are adjusting their holiday schedule earlier. While summer vacations typically occur from late July to early August, forecasts of extreme heat and a prolonged rainy season in Korea have prompted many to take time off sooner. Planning early helps them save on accommodation costs and avoid the high season crowd.

Furthermore, global inflation has influenced travel choices: more travelers are favoring nearby destinations that combine affordability, quality, and short flight times. This is where Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa stands out. The coastal city offers high-quality tourism services, yet maintains reasonable costs for lodging and dining.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, South Korea has overtaken China as a key international market for Khanh Hoa tourism. In 2024, the province welcomed around 4.8 million international visitors, including more than 2.4 million Koreans. In just the first five months of 2025, Khanh Hoa received over 1 million Korean tourists, marking a 4.1% increase year-on-year.

Currently, nine Vietnamese and Korean airlines operate about 19 daily flights from major Korean cities—including Seoul, Busan, and Daegu—to Cam Ranh International Airport, enhancing the convenience of travel between Korea and Nha Trang.
