Located in the South Central Coast of Vietnam, Khanh Hoa Province borders Dak Lak, Lam Dong, and the East Sea, with Cape Hon Doi being the easternmost point of Vietnam’s mainland.

Covering a total area of 8,555.86 km² and home to over 2.24 million people from more than 36 ethnic groups, Khanh Hoa is a land of cultural diversity and vitality.
Its strategic location connects the Southern Key Economic Zone, the Central Highlands, and South Central Vietnam, intersected by National Highway 1A, the North–South Expressway, the North–South Railway, and National Highway 27.
Khanh Hoa is also close to international maritime routes and home to Cam Ranh Bay – one of the finest deep-water harbors in the world.
Breathtaking Natural Beauty
Khanh Hoa boasts a coastline stretching nearly 500 km and over 200 large and small islands. The province is blessed with world-famous bays such as Van Phong Bay, Nha Trang Bay, Cam Ranh Bay, and Vinh Hy Bay, each offering unique natural beauty. Vinh Hy Bay is listed as a National Scenic Site, while Nui Chua National Park has been designated a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, alongside Hon Ba Nature Reserve, home to rare and diverse flora and fauna.
With its mild, tropical climate and long hours of sunshine, Khanh Hoa is Vietnam’s largest salt-producing region, supporting both its marine economy and sustainable agricultural development.
Cultural Heritage and History
Khanh Hoa harmoniously blends the cultural identities of the Cham, Viet, and Raglai peoples. The province preserves numerous historical and cultural relics, including:
-
Po Nagar Cham Towers – a symbol of ancient Cham architecture.
-
Dien Khanh Citadel, Tran Quy Cap Temple, Trinh Phong Shrine, and Yersin Memorial Sites.

Khanh Hoa also celebrates many traditional festivals such as the Po Nagar Festival, Bird’s Nest Festival, Whale Worship Festival, Am Chua Festival, and Kate Festival of the Cham community, showcasing the region’s spiritual richness and cultural vitality.
Tourism – Towards a Green and Sustainable Future
With its stunning landscapes and modern infrastructure, Khanh Hoa is hailed as the “paradise of sea tourism” in Vietnam.
Vision for 2030
Khanh Hoa aims to become a centrally governed city and an international marine tourism and service hub by 2030.
It is envisioned as one of Vietnam’s key growth poles, driven by marine economy, renewable energy, high technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
